Oil Mist Collector

Oil Mist Collector

Leveraging Centrifugal Force for Superior Oil Mist Separation
D4S Industries centrifugal oil mist collectors effectively use centrifugal force to remove oil mist from the air, ensuring a cleaner and safer environment. Here’s how they operate:

Contaminated Air Intake

  • Air Entry: Oil mist-laden air is drawn into the collector unit through a strategically designed inlet, ensuring smooth and efficient airflow.
  • Initial Direction: Inside the unit, the air is directed into a chamber equipped with a high-speed rotating impeller or rotor.

    Separation via Centrifugal Force

    • Rapid Rotation: The impeller creates a spinning motion, forcing heavier oil mist particles outward due to centrifugal force.
    • Particle Collection: These particles adhere to the chamber walls, coalescing into larger droplets through impact forces.

Oil Collection

    • Drainage: The separated oil droplets drain into a collection reservoir at the bottom of the unit, making disposal or reuse convenient.

      Advanced Filtration (Optional)

      • Enhanced Purification: Additional filtration stages, such as mesh or coalescing filters, can be incorporated to capture finer oil mist particles, ensuring superior air purification.

        Clean Air Exhaust

        • Safe Emission: The purified air is either recirculated back into the machining environment or undergoes further filtration before being released into the atmosphere. This helps maintain a clean workspace and reduces oil residue on surfaces and equipment

Our Workflow?

Industrial dust collection systems play a crucial role in maintaining clean and safe work environments. Here’s a breakdown of their key components and functionalities

The system begins with a centrifugal blower. This powerful unit generates a precisely calibrated airflow with the necessary static pressure to create effective suction.

The generated suction travels through a network of ducts and reaches strategically positioned pick-up hoods. These hoods, designed to maximize dust capture, are placed near dust emission zones. Their size and placement significantly impact the amount of dust collected.

Captured dust travels through the ductwork towards the filtration unit. Here, a baffle plate acts as a primary filter, separating and collecting larger dust particles. The remaining air, now containing finer dust particles, passes through the bottom of specialized tubular bag filters. These filters trap the dust on their outer surfaces.

As dust collection is continuous, filter clogging is a potential issue. To prevent this, a reverse pulse jet unit is employed. This innovative system delivers periodic bursts of air in the opposite direction, effectively cleaning the filter bags and ensuring optimal performance.

Separated dust falls into a dedicated hopper. A rotary airlock valve then transfers this dust to a collection box or tank. This valve plays a critical role, preventing dust from escaping back into the filtration unit.

The system continuously monitors the pressure within the filtration unit. This allows for early detection of potential filter clogging. Finally, clean air, exhausted through a silencer, is released back into the environment at a designated height through chimneys.
